The Home-Start quality assurance system was developed by Charities Evaluation Services for Home-Start, working closely with a steering group representing Home-Start UK and Home-Start schemes.
It is a bespoke system, incorporating all the elements of PQASSO, recognised as the ‘industry standard’ in the voluntary sector. The system has also been designed to include and reflect the requirements of Investors in People and other national quality standards
The system has been rooted in the expressed needs of those working across Home-Start, and in its existing best practice, through wide consultation at all stages of development and close working with a steering group {Representing Home-Start UK and Home-Start schemes}. The system integrates existing standards and Methods of Practice, the principles and guidance contained within Home-Start’s Policy and Practice Guide and its learning and development materials. The result is a quality assurance system that puts the highest quality support for families at its heart.
